What’s Happening at The Sycamore?

8/8/2025

We expected to see movement on this property by now but have not yet. Rumor mill has it that they are looking towards a start on construction in the early Fall 2025.

We have not heard much from the folks at Sycamore. Over at the faux distillery, however, they have become a part of the Harvest Host group. They encourage dry camping out behind their buildings. Guess they have to justify all those lights at night somehow.

Salt Lick at The Sycamore: the first phase of a 121-acre project at Highway 290 and Luckenbach in the Texas Wine Country will break ground in early 2025…that did not happen but we hear it is still part of the overall plan.

Developers for the Sycamore are:

LB Development, LLC
9000 TESORO DR STE 300
SAN ANTONIO, TX
78217-6132

Geoff Bley and Charles Leddy are officers of the LB Development, LLC.

As far as we know, this development will include a Salt Lick BBQ restaurant. The owners of Salt Lick are the Scott Roberts family

Salt Lick at The Sycamore: the first phase of a 121-acre project at Highway 290 and Luckenbach in the Texas Wine Country will break ground in early 2025. This experiential retail development will establish a new destination in the Texas Hill Country, where visitors experience Texas through great food, beverage, music and authentically Texas retailers. We are wondering if this “new destination” will be a good neighbor or not. Will they embrace Dark Skies? Will sound pollution be a constant thing? Traffic. OMG! How to kill the Hill Country in one easy lesson.

Meanwhile, across Luckenbach Road, the faux distillery has become a Harvest Host. We’re not too sure what this means but hopefully, this distillery cum RV park will not turn into just another place to get drunk  bar.  Check it out.
